What should I do if I am arrested, or if the police demand to talk to me about a crime?
- SAY NOTHING. You have the right to remain silent for a reason - use it. Do not talk your way in to prison. Tell the authorities that you will not answer any questions without a lawyer.
- STAY CALM. The police will prey on your fear of going to jail. If you are already arrested you are not leaving without posting bail. If you are simply being questioned and do not think clearly or answer questions to the satisfaction of the questioning officer, you will be arrested. After you are processed you will be brought to the county jail until you can make bail.
- CALL US IMMEDIATELY. We will assist you in making bail by calling a bail bondsman, and will begin your defense. Like any problem, an immediate defense is the best offense.
- SAY NOTHING. This applies even if you are sent to the county jail, as the jails are full of informants. Say nothing about the charges over the phones.
